Audio Technica gets SERIOUS ABOUT MAP

These guys aren't messing around. Audio Technica has produced a new sales policy guide. This fine document CLEARLY lays out what the deal is regarding the MAP on most items. Audio Technica is in the middle of a long term orchestrated effort to rebrand their product as not only the market leader in value, but the market leader in performance, experience and integrety.
Check your inbox for the new sales policy guide. It will be a breath of fresh air into a market segment that will certainly be the profit center that it used to be for your business.
For reals.

Yes, We STILL Rep That!

The Farm has made it through yet another month without changes to the line card. As a matter of fact, we rarely make changes to the line card. FSR, Audio Technica, and Community have been on the line card for over 20 years! (please don't tell them)

So, yeah, once in a while we make a change, but for the most part, you can count on finding what you need at the farm. Thanks for a great July!

Digital Projection Hires Guy with Baseball Hat

Digital Projection, known for reference quality images, has hired a guy with a ballcap. David Kile is the new "Field Engineer-West Coast." His job is to not only sport a stylish cap on his dome, but also make the projectors previously installed look their best.

David will be availble to assist with all kinds of things projector. So, now the company with the best images even has better support. Between "The EL GOMEZ", dude with a cap, and THE FARM, there can be no other choice but to hang a DP projector in your next high end gig.

Farm Encourages Resellers to place orders DIRECTLY WITH THE FACTORY

For years, the factories did not have good order tracking mechanisms. There was no such thing as a tracking number. There were not extranet sites. There were no order confirmations. TroutFarm changed all that with the first EVER on line order tracking system for reps, RepCom. Well, the time has come to retire that wonderful product. The factories now have caught up, and we have determined that by forcefully inserting ourselves into the aqcuisition process, we create undo friction.

It is our job to help you build and establish the most profitable relationships possible with the factories we represent. That is about it.

We still have visibity on all of the orders, as most we are connected live to most factories information systems. We are STILL the ones you call when you need to find out ANYTHING.

Nothing changes except the fax number or the email address on the Purchase Order.

This way, the confusion disappears. Most factories REPLY to orders with tracking, confirmations, and information. When the orders come from The Farm, although we are the fastest in the industry, we still add a step as the confirmations come back to us. This move eliminates that extra step and gets the information to where it needs to end up that much sooner.
We will still take your order if you like. We LOVE getting orders. Don't get us wrong. Order=GOOD. Soon enough, you will be buying with a click. Some factories are doing it now. This is going to make it that much easier to transition.
Oh....and it saves us a couple bucks. With that extra money, we have invested in a new VOIP system to host live training, meeting, and conferencing sessions. We are also deep in an intiative to stimulate end user interest through local seminars, presentations and shows.
And we will use some of the extra dough to pay for gas.
Thanks for understanding.

TroutFarm Technical Sales will now be known as "The Farm"

After years of trying to come up with a good answer to the question, "why troutfarm?" we have thrown in the towel.

We will now be known only as "The Farm. "

Now we get to answer the question "why The Farm?"

Maybe you can help. Here at The Farm, we really don't have good answers as to why we do many of the things we do. I bet you can't figure us out either. In any case, here is an opportunity to make history.

This new name, this new BRAND, lends itself to all kinds of fun imagery. Take a moment to send us stuff. We are dumb enough to probably use it.
