Symetrix August Tech Tip

Axiomtek Touch Panel Configuration for SymVue

The GOT-5100T-830 is a 10.4" Intel® Atom™-based fanless touch panel for use with SymVue technology. It adopts a modern, super sleek and fanless design and is equipped with a 10.4" TFT LCD as well as Intel® Atom™ N270 1.6 GHz processor.

SymVue is a real-time user control panel application that displays control screens exported from SymNet Designer 9.0 functioning as a multi-user, multi-point control environment for SymNet systems. SymVue runs on any Windows-compatible device, including touch screen enabled PCs and tablets, which run Vista or XP.

The process of creating a graphical user interface and exporting it to off-the-shelf control hardware represents a significant savings in time and money when compared to third party control systems.

The Axiomtek GOT-5100T-830 met the high standards in quality, appearance, responsiveness, as well as the ease of use and installation that is required of all products engineered by Symetrix.

Question: Will the Axiomtek touch panel PC function in a similar manner to other third party touch panel control systems?

Answer: Absolutely! With two "minor tweaks" during the initial set-up you can have the Axiomtek touch panel booting directly to SymVue, automatically connecting to the hardware, and seamlessly controlling any SymNet or Integrator Series system.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUDIO-TECHNICA ENHANCES ENGINEERED SOUND® PRODUCT LINE WITH NEW CONTRACTOR PROGRAM

— Company extends value of Engineered Sound® products for contractors and end users

with new five-year warranty, plus new freight options and extended terms for E.S. dealers —

STOW, OH, August 3, 2009 — As part of its ongoing commitment to the contractor/system integrator market sector, Audio-Technica, known worldwide as a leading producer of precision audio transducers and related items for over 45 years, announces that it is offering Engineered Sound contractors a new program for its Engineered Sound® product line. As part of this initiative, Audio-Technica is offering new freight options and extended terms; the company has also expanded the warranty on its entire range of Engineered Sound products to five years.

The Audio-Technica Engineered Sound line is available only to the professional installed sound market via a network of specialized sound contractors and system integrators, as opposed to retail outlets. The Engineered Sound line builds on A-T’s commitment to offering the fixed installation/sound contracting market the highest performance products, featuring RoHS compliance, full UniGuard RFI immunity and the ability to meet international specifications.

Since their introduction, Engineered Sound microphones and accessories have been the first choice of leading contractors and system integrators for installation in churches, boardrooms and government meeting rooms, courtrooms, distance-learning facilities and other corporate installations. This contractor-exclusive line includes a wide assortment of UniGuard® RFI-protected gooseneck, hanging, boundary, lavalier and handheld microphones.

The Engineered Sound line also includes Audio-Technica’s recently introduced ATCS-60 Infrared Conference System. The ATCS-60 is a fully self-contained wireless distributed audio system using infrared communications technology, designed for corporate, government and educational applications. Additionally, the Engineered Sound line also includes the industry’s first-ever ultra wideband wireless microphone system, Audio-Technica’s innovative SpectraPulse®. Unlike traditional FM carrier-based systems, the award-winning SpectraPulse UWB Wireless Microphone System offers 14 simultaneous channels that operate flawlessly without RF turf wars, “white space” issues, frequency hunting/coordination or interference.

Tom George, the Director of Installations at Eighth Day Sound Systems, based out of Highland Heights, Ohio, stated, “Sound contracting products need to be extremely durable – basically bulletproof – since in most cases, an installation requires that they work for months or years on end. Audio-Technica’s Engineered Sound products always meet these demands in a major way, and the new extended warranty underscores Audio-Technica’s reliability and commitment to the fixed installation markets. This is why I continue to spec Audio-Technica for critical installations in boardrooms, corporate facilities and houses of worship.”

“Our new programs for the contractor-only Engineered Sound product line will benefit our E.S. dealers and end-users alike,” stated Greg Pinto, Audio-Technica VP of Marketing. “Extending the warranty on E.S. products to 5-years reflects the confidence the marketplace has in Audio-Technica products, while extending terms and freight programs show our commitment to solving the day-to-day difficulties faced by contractors and integrators in these difficult economic times. It’s a winning combination for everyone.”
